The Studio
About Wayfinder
Wayfinder Art Studio is a process-based teaching studio where fine art foundations meet the wild spark of self-expression.
Our programs blend drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and mixed media with the elements of art, principles of design, and threads of art history. Led by practicing artists and thoughtful educators, we offer structure and guidance alongside room for imagination and play.
We believe every artist is a wayfinder, navigating their own creative path. Here, hands shape clay, layer paint, sketch with intention, and cut paper into stories. We guide students of all ages to build technical skill, confidence, and an authentic artistic voice.
From a child’s first brushstroke to a teen’s portfolio development, or an adult rediscovering creative joy, we provide space to experiment, grow, and create.
Our Philosophy
At Wayfinder, creativity is a compass – it guides, grounds, and opens new pathways. Art making is a journey of discovery and connection, strengthened by a strong foundation in the principles of fine art.
Our mission is to support artists of all ages through experiences that balance imaginative exploration with foundational skill. The process of making is as important as the finished work.
From a child’s first brushstroke to a teen’s portfolio development, or an adult rediscovering creative joy, we provide space to experiment, grow, and create.
Rooted in tradition but inspired by contemporary practice, our teaching nurtures technical skill, individual voice, and creative confidence. We honor where each student begins and walk beside them as they find their own creative path.
What We Offer
Your local studio dedicated to creativity and community
Curated Curriculum
Rooted in fine art, touched by tradition and today’s creative pulse, our curriculum invites each young artist to grow into their own expressive voice with heart and guidance.
Small Class Sizes
We create a supportive and inspiring environment by keeping a low 1:8 ratio, with two caring instructors in every class and camp no matter how small the group.
High Quality Materials
Our students explore new mediums and work with the best materials. From oil pastels and watercolors, to clay and canvas to heavyweight paper, sparking creativity at every turn.
Hands off Student Work
Each child brings their own vision to life, guided by encouragement rather than the teacher’s pencil. With a bit of support and plenty of enthusiasm, their creativity knows no bounds!
Year Round Sessions
Our year-round schedule includes six 6-week class sessions during the school year, running from September to June, along with weekly Summer Camps from late June through August.
Convenient Make-Ups
Parents can call or email the studio in advance of a missed class and take advantage of a flexible make-up class policy any time.
