Wayfinder Art Studio offers engaging, age-appropriate classes where children and teens explore different mediums, build skills, and gain confidence.
Our process-based approach lets projects unfold over multiple sessions, helping students develop their artistic voice.
Our classes are offered in 6-week sessions during the school year, creating a supportive rhythm that helps young artists grow creatively while feeling connected to their peers and the studio.

Little Luminaries
Ages 3.5 – 5
Our Little Luminaries classes nurture young artists at the start of their creative journey.
Students build confidence, fine motor skills, and a love of self expression while exploring the elements of art, a variety of materials like drawing, painting, printmaking, clay, collage and more in creative projects.
Artful Explorers
Ages 6 – 11
Our Artful Explorers dive into the creative process, experimenting with painting, drawing, clay, printmaking, mixed media, and more.
Through elevated, fun projects, artists apply the elements of art and principles of design while building skill and confidence in a supportive, process-focused environment.
Teen Visionaries
Ages 12+
Teen Visionaries gives young artists space to refine technique, explore new approaches and develop their creative identity.
Working with drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media, students take creative risks, express themselves with intention, and build skills whether developing their technique or preparing a portfolio.
Little Luminaries
Art Sprouts
Ages: 3.5 – 4.5
Designed for our youngest makers, Art Sprouts is a joyful introduction to the art studio. Guided with care and open to imagination, little artists explore paint, clay, collage, and more. This class supports early motor skills, self expression, and creative confidence in a nurturing, curiosity driven environment. It’s the perfect place for little hands to discover big creativity and have fun along the way.

Petite Picassos
Ages: 4 – 5
Petite Picassos is perfect for curious creators ready to dive deeper into the art making process. Through playful, age appropriate projects, students explore a range of materials like paint, clay, collage, drawing, and printmaking, while building art skills, creative confidence, and independence. With a balance of structure and freedom, this class nurtures growing imaginations in a supportive studio setting.

Artful Explorers
Art Mix I
Ages: 6 – 8
Art Mix I invites young artists to explore a vibrant mix of materials and techniques while developing their creative voice. Each session introduces a new process: painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, collage, and more! Art Mix I encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and personal expression. With an emphasis on fun, skill-building, and imaginative thinking, this class is perfect for curious makers who love trying it all.

Art Mix II
Ages: 8 – 11
Art Mix II is designed for growing artists ready to deepen their skills while continuing to explore a wide range of materials and techniques. From painting and drawing to sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media, students learn to think creatively and express their ideas with originality. Projects are thoughtfully designed to balance guided instruction with creative freedom, encouraging both artistic growth and personal style.

Studio Makers: Sculpture
Ages: 8 – 11
In this hands on class, young artists become true studio makers designing, building, and bringing their ideas to life in 3D form. Students will explore a range of sculpture techniques and materials, including clay, cardboard, papier-mâché, and found objects. With a focus on construction, creativity, and problem-solving, this class encourages imagination and innovation. Perfect for makers who love to build, invent, and think outside the box.

Studio Makers: Drawing & Painting
Ages: 8 – 11
This focused studio class is perfect for young artists who want to strengthen their skills in drawing and painting. Students will experiment with pencil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, and more, learning foundational skills in composition, color theory and perspective. With a balance of guided instruction and open ended projects, this class supports both technical growth and personal expression in a supportive environment.

Studio Makers: Creative Comics
Ages: 8 – 11
Explore the exciting world of comics and graphic storytelling! Students create memorable characters and compelling storylines while mastering drawing, painting, and layout techniques. Combining creativity with narrative skills, this class empowers young artists to bring their stories vividly to life using a variety of artistic mediums in a fun, encouraging environment.

Studio Makers: Fashion Mix
Ages: 8 – 11
Dive into the world of fashion design by exploring drawing, painting, collage, and creative construction- no sewing required. Young designers experiment with color, pattern, and personal style as they create bold, imaginative collections on paper and beyond. Along the way, they’ll learn how to develop ideas from sketch to final piece and express their unique voice through wearable art.

Teen Visionaries
Advanced Drawing & Painting
Ages: 12+
This class is designed for teen artists ready to take their work to the next level. Through in depth exploration of drawing and painting techniques including graphite, charcoal, ink, watercolor, acrylic, and more, students will strengthen their technical skills while developing their personal style and creative voice.
Lessons focus on observational drawing, color theory, composition, and conceptual thinking. Ideal for portfolio development or students with a strong interest in visual art, this is a space for focus, growth, and meaningful artistic exploration.

Art Mix III
Ages: 12+
Art Mix III invites teen artists to expand their creative practice through advanced exploration of diverse mediums and techniques.
Students will experiment with painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media, developing both technical skills and conceptual ideas.
This class encourages artistic risk taking, personal expression, and critical thinking and provides a dynamic space for teens to strengthen their artistic voice and vision.

Portfolio Prep
Ages: 12+
Designed for motivated teen artists preparing for high school or college art program admissions, Portfolio Prep offers structured guidance, skill refinement, and individualized feedback.
Students will create a diverse and cohesive body of work building both technical strength and conceptual depth. Emphasis is placed on observational studies, personal voice, and presentation. This class supports artists in developing standout portfolios that reflect their unique vision and readiness for the next step in their creative journey.
*Students may also persue private lessons for personalized portfolio development and focused support.
